Dorota Anna Wróblewska’s comment on Special Report “Frontem do Klienta” (English: “Turned Toward the Client”) about the debt market in Poland. Miesięcznik Finansowy Bank, 02/2017
It would be easier for banks to manage a portfolio of past-due receivables if dedicated IT tools were used. Currently the processes of packaging, managing, and offering receivables for sale are still ‘manual’ processes, ‘digitised’ only to a small degree, and consuming much of bank employees’ time and energy. One solution for many such problems could be a management system implemented or made available in various models. The system would manage the process from data import to the making of an offer or the closing of an auction, including the submission of samples, RFIs, RFPs, and, ultimately, auctions. Such a system should be ordered by a bank from a reliable IT provider specialising in the development of solutions for banking, which offers guarantees with respect to securities and which knows and understands banking processes. The transparency, standardisation, and simplicity of the sales of receivables is in the interest of both banks and securitisation funds. There shall be great changes in IT in that respect.
